Chances are you can sing a few bars of a Frank Loesser song, did "Guys and Dolls" in high school, crooned "Baby It’s Cold Outside" to your sweetheart, loved someone "A Bushel and a Peck," or enjoyed "Hans Christian Andersen" or one of the more than 60 other Hollywood films featuring Frank Loesser’s lyrics.
In this PBS documentary, we will witness Frank Loesser’s artistry in the context of his life - and his singular personality. Behind the hit songs is a man of contradictions… a cauldron of emotions and styles who helped change the course of musical theater history – and created some of the most enduring American songs of the 20th century.
